The Jane Goodall Institute says Dr. Goodall “was a tireless advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural world.”

The world is reacting to the death of the animal rights campaigner and primatologist – Dr Jane Goodall. In a statement – the United Nations – said it’s mourning her passing – calling her a U.N. Messenger of Peace – and recognizing her invaluable legacy in promoting harmony between people and nature. The Jane Goodall Institute which she founded – says Dr. Goodall died of natural causes in California – where she was set to appear as part of a speaking tour. Jon Stewart returned to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” Monday night immediately mocking President Biden and former President Trump for a shared problem.

Minutes into his opening monologue Jon Stewart criticized President Biden and former President Trump for one of the biggest issues this election year. “They are the oldest people ever to run for president — breaking by only four years the record that they set!” Stewart returned to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” after a nine-year hiatus with his usual and acerbic wit. “I think we’ve got a new name for our election coverage: Indecision 2024, Antiques Roadshow.” Stewart agreed to host the show Monday nights through the 2024 election. A wildlife refuge pond in Hawaii turns bright pink

A pond on Maui has turned so pink some people are causing it Barbie pink. Scientists say the Hawaiian island’s drought likely caused the bizarre but beautiful phenomenon. The Pacific Whale Foundation says drought closed the Kealia Pond’s connection to the sea allowing algae and bacteria to bloom, especially those who thrive in high salt content water. Biologists believe it’s those organisms that give the pond its pink glow, and while not toxic it’s so salty they don’t recommend drinking it.

NASA Scientists to Open Special Package March 9

NASA plans to open a special package today as it prepares for the return to the moon.

It’s an exciting event – 50 years in the making – the opening of one of the last sealed and pristine Moon rocks from the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. NASA’s been saving the samples all these years because the agency figured science and technology would improve over the years and allow scientists to study the rocks in new ways and address new questions in the quest to put humans back on the Moon. Winter the Dolphin Dies

Winter fans mourn the loss of dolphin who ‘inspired hope, was loved by millions.’

A dolphin without a tail that captured many Americans’ hearts died Thursday night.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium will be closed Friday so the staff can grieve the loss of their friend, Winter.

Winter the dolphin was the beloved star of the “Dolphin Tale” movies, inspired by her true story of losing her tale and finding so many friends.

“We’re here because of the most amazing animal and friend that I’ve ever known and I hope you love her as much as I do.”

Everyone at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida and all its visitors who grew to love Winter are heartbroken now. The aquarium says the 16-year-old bottlenose dolphin with an unprecedented prosthetic tail died Thursday evening despite urgent efforts to treat a gastrointestinal problem. Like all her years at the aquarium, Winter was cared for to the very end, dying in the arms of animal care experts. Carmen Roberts. Fox News.
